About this product

Ragi Chilla, Idli & Dhokla in 10 Minutes — No Soaking, No Grinding

Kiro's 3-in-1 ragi premix is the easiest way to add ancient Indian millets to your family's breakfast. One 300g pouch makes instant ragi chilla, ragi idli, or ragi dhokla in under 10 minutes. No fermentation. No grinding. Just add water.

Each 300g pouch makes 8–10 chillas, 10–12 idlis, or 8–10 dhoklas. Start with a single pouch, or choose the Pack of 3 or Pack of 5 to keep protein-rich millet breakfasts going for weeks.

How to make ragi chilla, idli & dhokla

Ragi Chilla: Mix premix with water to a thin batter. Pour on a hot non-stick pan and spread it thin, dosa-style. Cook on both sides until golden. Serve with chutney or sambar.

Ragi Idli: Mix premix with water and a little curd. Rest 15–20 min. Pour into greased idli moulds. Steam 10–12 min. Serve with sambar and coconut chutney.

Ragi Dhokla: Mix premix with water, curd, and a pinch of eno. Pour into a greased plate. Steam 15–20 min. Temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves.

Choosing your pack size

  • Single pouch (300g) — about a week of breakfasts, the easiest way to try it
  • Pack of 3 (900g) — roughly 3–4 weeks for a family of two, at Rs.179 per pouch
  • Pack of 5 (1.5kg) — best value at Rs.169 per pouch for regular millet breakfasts

Product FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Kiro Ragi Premix gluten-free?

Ragi (finger millet) and besan (chickpea flour) are naturally gluten-free. Kiro Ragi Premix contains rice flour, ragi flour and besan, and is manufactured in a facility that may also process other grains, so we do not certify it as celiac-safe. It is suitable for people avoiding wheat and maida.

Is Kiro Ragi Premix safe for diabetics?

Yes. Ragi has a low glycemic index, the premix has no added sugar (0.97g sugars per 100g, all naturally occurring), and contains 13g of plant-based protein per 100g. It is a slow-release breakfast for people managing blood sugar. Always consult your doctor for personalised advice.

What are the ingredients in Kiro Ragi Premix?

Just three ingredients: Rice Flour, Ragi (Finger Millet) Flour, and Besan (Chickpea Flour). No maida, no preservatives, no added sugar, no oil, no anti-caking agents, no artificial flavours, no colours.

How much protein does Kiro Ragi Premix have?

13.14g of plant-based protein per 100g, from real ragi and besan, not added isolates. A typical 50g serving (2 chillas) delivers about 6.5g protein, making Kiro one of the highest-protein instant breakfast premixes in India.

How long does one 300g pack last?

One 300g pouch makes 8 to 10 chillas, 10 to 12 idlis, or 8 to 10 dhoklas, which is roughly a week of breakfasts for two people. If you eat Kiro daily, the Pack of 5 gives you about a month's supply.

How do I make ragi chilla from Kiro Premix?

Mix 1 cup of premix with about 1.5 cups of water to a thin, pourable batter. Heat a non-stick pan, pour and spread thin, drizzle a few drops of oil, cook on both sides until golden. Total time: under 10 minutes. No fermentation, no soaking, no grinding.

Is Kiro Ragi Premix vegan?

Yes. The premix is 100% plant-based. Chilla needs only water. Idli and dhokla traditionally use curd, but you can substitute plant-based yoghurt to keep them fully vegan.

Is Kiro Ragi Premix safe for kids?

Yes. Kiro is built for everyday Indian families. The 3-ingredient recipe, low sodium (118mg/100g vs 3 to 4 times higher in most instant mixes), and complete absence of preservatives, maida and added sugar make it suitable for children. For infants under 1 year, consult your paediatrician.

Is Kiro FSSAI certified?

Yes. Kiro Ragi Premix is FSSAI certified under licence 10525006000365 and NABL lab-tested for nutrition and safety. Manufactured by Shinsekai Enterprises Pvt Ltd, Durg, Chhattisgarh, India.

What is the shelf life and how should I store it?

Six months (180 days) from the date of manufacture. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, transfer to an airtight container and use within 30 days for the freshest taste. Best before date is printed on each pouch.

Where does Kiro ship and what is the delivery time?

Kiro ships pan-India. Delivery is a flat Rs. 70, and free on orders above Rs. 499. Most orders arrive within 5 to 8 business days, with metro pin codes usually quicker.

How is Kiro different from other instant dosa or idli mixes?

Three ways. One: Kiro has just 3 real ingredients. Most instant mixes carry 8 to 15 including maida, preservatives, anti-caking agents and emulsifiers. Two: 13g of natural protein per 100g and a low sodium count of 118mg vs 400 to 500mg in most competitor mixes. Three: one Kiro pack makes three different dishes (chilla, idli and dhokla) in under 10 minutes with no fermentation.
